I'm a 2nd year tax associate, and I'm close to being fired
for poor communication with Seniors, poor work product, and
picking up concepts too slowly.

I like working here at the Big 4, but I'm just not cutting
it.

Any advice besides the obvious, "communicate and do better
work"?

I don't know how your firm does things but I'm assuming you have a mentor or coach. Talk to him/her and listen to what they have to say. If you feel that you can't connect with your coach, talk to HR and get a new coach that you can work with better.
