A question about the formatting of the simulations..

It seems (at least on Becker) that the simulations use inconsistent brackets for negative numbers (sometimes used, sometimes not...e.g. AICPA Sim 2007)

My question is, are the Simulations reviewed by a human? On the first final test I took, a few of my numbers were correct..but the computer graded them to be incorrect..

Any advice would be helpful.

Has anybody taken the Final exam from Becker? What do you think? Share your experiences!

I have found the questios pretty lengthy compared to the AUD and REG final exams from Becker. Also some of the questions are really time consuming (like Q28 in testlet 1, Final exam 1). I got really nervous about this, because if this is a proxy to the actual conditions for FAR then I will lose my sleep. I was struggling through the questions, although I have finished on time (sims were not that bad in Becker). Also, I have caught myself several times not reading the question properly. I confuse names and dates....They might be asking for person A and I might give the correct answer for person B or I might spend time calculating for a full year while the question asks for half year, then I realize the mistake and redo the calculations, wasting precious time. Ughh, I feel so silly when I do this.  Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts with you. If you have also taken the final exams from Becker, tell us what you think :)

I feel the same way.  I just took the final exam a few days ago and gave up after the first testlet, I had to take a break.  It took so much effort on my part to just keep the information straight.  Though, from the past experience, the actual exam doesn't have half as long questions as Becker does.  I think Becker tries to prepare us heavily so that we can tackle pretty much anything in the exam.  I was having the same issue of not being able to keep dates and stories straight.  I had to read the same question at least three times before I can get the facts straight, so I can understand your frustration.  Just keep trying and you'll be fine during the actual exam.  Good luck!!
