I am taking the BEC in a week.  Has anyone taken the new version with the simulations.  I heard there has been trouble loading them.  Also how many were on the exam and what topics did they cover.

Thanks

I took it on 2/27. I had no trouble loading them, they just take 15-20
seconds to load. Not as bad as FAR for me, since my exam froze. I lost an
hour of testing time and had to retake the entire exam a week and a half
later.

3 simulations, variety of topics, 2 seemed like logical BEC topics and 1
seemed unusual (probably the pretest sim). I just focused on addressing the
question with proper grammar trying not to get hung up on specific details.

Without giving too much away, I'd have to say that the topics probably resembled FAR topics more than they resembled BEC topics (except for one). Personally I basically wrote novels on mine. They required me to addressed a large amount of subject material, and I knew all of the answers, so I wanted to fully answer the question, I hope I don't lose points for not being brief enough.  The sample answers in the review courses are always pretty short, but the topics are always a lot shorter and simpler than you see on the exam (in terms of the WC).
