So this has been my second attempt using Yaeger material for BEC. The first time I got a 60 and now I got a 58???

I have watched the lectures twice, took notes,  done all the questions and I am still not scoring well. Not sure if its just me or the material. Cindy does seem to go over everything pretty. But on my exam I got a couple topics that they didn't even cover. Maybe thats the problem. I know they say to just do the min questions they give you. But I have ran into questions that they didn't even cover in the book and I got them on my exam.

Anyone have any advice??

Buy the Gleim software and practice practice practice. I finished the BEC HomeStudy lectures last night and overall, I didn't think the videos were all that great. You may want to spend the bulk of your time going over practice MCQs and going over your weak areas. The Gleim software is great in diagnosing what areas you need to work on.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the reply..that's my plan. I am planning on retaking it next testing window. I will just spend my time doing as many MCQ questions I can get my hands on. I think that will be the best way to reinforce the concepts.

You gotta know Corporate Governance and IT really well.  Use Gleim's test (you can download it for $50) bank to beef up your Corporate Governance and IT.  Wiley's good for most other topics except these areas...their book is horrible in its coverage of this. Also, I finally broke down and memorized all the ratios Cindy tells you to, yes it sucked but they couldn't throw me when it came to knowing those.  Finally, practice your written communciations, they're easy points and you can ratchet up your score a bit with a half-decent response so long as the writing structure is there.

Now for a little reciprocity please...what did you guys do for Audit to help you pass?  I'm using Yaeger/Wiley to study it but the Reporting section is throwing me for a loop as far as how to study for it.

Thanks! Glad I bought the Gleim software. I was practicing the Gleim questions the other day on Corporate Governance and noticed that they're significantly harder. This is probably the way the actual exam is going to be, so I better keep practicing.

As for AUD, take lots of notes and do lots of MCQs. There's a lot of key points that Gary emphasizes on the Reporting section. Write down everything he highlights, read your notes over and over and practicing applying that concept with MCQs.

Good luck!
