I had an interview with a company. At the end I got business cards from the interviewers. The interview went ok, not great but not terrible. Unfortunately I lost the business cards so I wasn't able to send a thankyou note. I have the email of the HR person, should I email her and ask for the contact info of the interviewer? It is a very small company so I am sure the HR would talk to the interviewer about it. Would I look bad for losing the business cards, should I just ignore it and not send anything?

a thank you email is very important to any interview...creates a good impression. i would email HR and ask her for the email IDs. need not mention abt the lost cards.

If you have the person's name I would sent a written letter ATTN: His/Her name.  It will set you apart from the other applicants.

May be you can try to google that person's name to see if you have the contact information or try to find him/her at linkedin.

As long as you have the person's name and the company's address (which you should be able to find on their website), you shouldn't have any difficulties sending them a thank you note.
