Hi guys
I have a problem - I applied for a position in regional CPA firm and they ask for references before the interview... I don't have professional references from US since my current employer is my first US employeer.. What do you think about asking references from manager (not a direct supervisor) from current company?

do you have any public accounting experience from outside USA? if yes, get their references.
when i got my first job in US, i knew no one here...but my Indian references worked. And for my 2nd job i got co-workers and managers (not direct) references.
