Do they exist?
I have no problem getting CPA firm work due to my
experience, but most of them are sweat shops that work you
till you don't want to live anymore.
I prefer doing public accounting and tax work to working
corporate, just hate the overtime and weekends.
Do firms that have real work-life balance with no overtime
exist?

I once worked for a really small 2 partner, 2 senior CPA firm. The hours weren't bad at all but the pay wasn't much above minimum wage. The guys would only work about half a Saturday during tax season. I worked there while I was in grad school completing my 5th year of school to meet the CPA requirement. The clients were all individuals and very small businesses. No audit, just tax, financial advisory & business management.

I'm seriously considering giving this whole thing up and
I've been doing this for almost 10 years now.
I've learned that working more then 40 hours just doesn't
work for me. I become unproductive and make a lot more
mistakes.
It's just not worth it if you can't have a life.

you need to find another industry because public accounting is not for you. although tax firm is a lot better than auditing, you still need at least 15-20 overtime hrs in tax season.
