Dear friends
I will complete a economics degree soon but realized it
is a huge mistake . I want to get a cpa but i believe for
NJ USA you need 150 credits and i have only 120 . I need
24 hours of accounting and i think 24 hours buisness
related . Now this doesn't seem so bad but it is not as
simple as taking an additional year of accounting . Once
i get accepted into buisness school again i can't just
take all the accounting courses because i assume courses
will be prerequisite of the other ! which means it will
take longer than a year ! At this point it seems too
costly and too time consuming given that i havre student
loans etc .
Do you think i should still try for cpa route or should i
just get some work experience with my econ degree and get
an MBA ? And just forget about accounting at this point ?
Also do 24 hours mean 24 credits ? I sometimes get
confused because i only think in terms of credits ?
I apologize if this question has been asked before !!!
