For tax purposes, organizational expenses include all those expenses
involved in establishing the corporation where as the start up expenses
include everything else such as: training, marketing, consulting,
market research. Once these items have been elected they are amortized
over 60 months.
Would fees paid to an exective search firm to a hire an employee qualify as start fees (tax purposes only)?
For financial purposes (GAAP), I would assume all these expense are expensed
as incurred?
