I am doing a project and my part is to:

a.The auditors responsibility under GAAS

b.Discuss significant accounting policies noting any new
pronouncements impacting your client and the audit scope

c.State your planned materiality and explain how you
calculated this amount

I know that during an audit. The auditors have procedures
to follow, like the General Standards, Fieldwork
standards and standards of fieldwork.

But I have to site them and Im confused what to call
them. I see different "sites" for the same things. Like I
see GAAS, I see AU 150 and A bunch of SAS's.

Are they all the same?

like when i talk about the Standards of field work, the
standards of reporting and general standards...what are
their propers codifications?

Is AU like a sub category of GAAS?
