IRS states and I quote- Bar or CPA Review Course

"Review courses to prepare for the bar examination or
the certified public accountant (CPA) examination are
not qualifying work-related education. They are part of
a program of study that can qualify you for a new
profession."

Therefore such expenses do not qualify under-" Business
Deduction for Work-Related Education."

But what about claiming a deduction under - "Tuition and
Fees Deduction", is it disqualified as a deduction,
because becker/wiley do not qualify as "Eligible
educational institution." per IRC.

Why are the examination fee paid to accountancy Board
too, not deductible?

They should be.  I've certainly put enough money out in exam fees AND study materials!!!

Well I just wanted to know why examination fee is
disallowed. But after studying the provisions, hmmmm,
CPA exam fee/ review course are pretty different in
character from tuition fee.
