Hello all,

I'm getting set to begin my final review for regulation
in a couple days. I have been using Becker for my
studies, and have the Wiley textbook as well for an
additional resource.

My question: In which taxation areas do you feel
Becker was not thorough enough (or didn't cover at all)
for taxation?

I just graduated in the fall, and took a tax class in my
final semester. We covered the various depreciation
recapture rules, as well as the various individual and
corporate capital gain netting rules, quite a bit.
Becker, however, seemed to gloss over those two areas
pretty quickly. So those are two areas specifically
where I feel I'll need to go back and supplement my
initial studies a little bit.

Which areas are you, or have you,
supplementing/supplemented for taxation in order to be
as prepared as possible? I've read a lot of experiences
where people felt certain questions came from left field
on the regulation exam. I understand with the nature of
the beast that's unavoidable, but I'd like to mitigate
it as much as possible when I sit.

REG was my best section so far and I used only Becker and it was from 2007. So, I would say it is more than enough to prepare you for anything this test will throw at you! Have you taken any other sections? I am convinced that once you pass FAR, everything else is a breeze in comparison.
