I don't know if there's necessarily a great way to prepare for them. I'm sure most review courses have a good number of sample sims, but there's always the chance that the ones you get on the actual exam are completely different. I've never seen someone post an excellent strategy on how to study particularly for them. Though, if someone has a good method, I wouldn't mind hearing about it.

As far as REG is concerned, make absolutely and positively sure that you know your tax stuff. The simulations are 40% of the grade now and they are all taxes. As Huntington said they aren't gonna be the same. However, if you know the material you'll be good to go (and I do mean KNOW). If you are planning to use the authoritative literature to help you if you get stomped on something, make absolutely sure that you study the IRS code before the test and get real familiar with it (format as far as where everything is located). So overall it comes down to practice practice practice and more practice. If there is ever a test to make sure that you have gone over the multiple choice questions and simulations to see what you did wrong and confirm your thinking when you got something right THIS IS THE TEST. Also, don't think that doing the multiple choice questions won't help you with simulations, because simulations are just big questions. Overall, like I stated before know your taxes in and out, and do not skimp on any of the tax subjects (Don't skimp on anything really). If you absolutely have to skimp on anything make sure its something from business law because so far it has only shown up in the multiple choice testlets and those are worth 60% and quite a few of them are from taxes (so do not skimp on taxes like I stated before). Know everything about tax. It's really not too terrible. If you have a general idea of how everything works, you'll be able to spot check with authoratative stuff. Speaking of which, I actually had a TS instead of IRC answer today .... threw me off a bit!
I'd focus heavily on the front end of Becker.
