Can anyone suggest the realistic time frame to prepare for REg...

FWIW, it depends in large part on how much of the material you have had before and how long it has been.  For example, I took Individual Tax but never took Corporate, so some of the material was new, as was some of the UCC stuff.  I took a solid two months (while working full time) to prepare, probably averaging about 15-20 hours per week including a big push the last two weeks. I feel reasonably good about how I did. 

Less than that would probably not have been enough.  It's a lot of work and there really are no shortcuts.  There are ways to make the studying easier and more efficient, but there is no way to really shortcut the process.  It comes down to work, practice and repetition.
