I took BEC this past weekend..omg I must say i was blown away. I studied IT and Business inside and out. in total i would say only 20% was IT and Business.
Everything on the exam was related to cost accounting.
There were no questions to apply any type of formulas from finance. I really dont know how I did. i only had about 4 economics questions. It was my first time taking the exam..Did anyone recently take this exam? Whats your feedback?

same here. I took 05/28 and I would say it was heavy in cost accounting too.

I don't think I did totally bad, but I know some of them I try to pick "the best" answer. So waiting for score, I don't want to study variances again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, heavy on cost accounting....

how was Finance part (Ch 3), did you see any surprizes....???

Most of people have mentioned before that they saw around 6-8 questions from IT which is not covered in Becker, Wileys, Gliem etc. How was in your exam?

I agree with you. I gave my FARE exam in May, they say you will definitely get SIMS on consolidation, Income statement etc. But on my exam I really do not know from where did they pull those simulations. Same goes with MCQs. I hardly got 2 questions on govt and non got accounting, did not get a single question on Bonds and lease.
I am planning to sit for BEC in next month. I am using Beckers. Having hard time to understand 'Manufacturing Overhead Variances'.
Any suggestion for BEC preparation?
I appreciate your help.
Thanks,

Variances related to volume

(Standard Volume - Actual Volume) * Standard Price

Variances related to price
