I took the exam last Saturday. Going through the exam, I felt confident because most of the questions I was getting I felt I had the right answer, or could at least narrow it down to two choices. I want to say I *feel* like I passed the exam, but being the case that it was my first section (and thus I don't have an indication of whether reality matches expectations on these tests), I don't want to be too confident only to be let down. I repeat, I feel ALMOST confident I passed - but I can't be sure until I get my score. I want to mentally prepare myself if I do end up not passing. My concern is how to study again? I don't know if it would be logical to study like I did the first time around, which was thoroughly. Would I just review everything, read over my notes over and over, or just do a bunch of multiple-choice questions? Has anyone had to retake BEC? How was your restudy plan?

Thank you!

I created my own notes which essentially had me going through the Becker text a few times.  In addition, I bought a Gleim Book and Wiley Software just to look at more questions, this defintley helped my first two questions were almost straight out of the Gleim book.  I felt very confident walking out of the exam the other day.

It's not logical to me to prepare for taking the test a second time without knowing if you passed it the first time.  For example, I took FAR on Oct 11, and told myself don't waste time waiting for the score, try to get BEC out of the way before the end of the year.  So I immediately started preparing for the next test.  Might be a better use of your time.

I took BEC on 11/30, last day. The way I studied, I pretty
much wrote down all the highlighted/important parts on
Becker to a separate notebook and used that as a short cut
reference. I did all the homework problems, but no
supplementary problems, final exams, or even AICPA exams.
Used the Becker flashcards but just for skim review
purposes. But I made sure I completely understood the
homework problems though. I felt ok coming so we will see
if the method worked.

Subwayeatfresh the problem in your case is that BEC is changing starting January 2011. I hope you passed the exam however, you may have to acquire the 2011 material and compare with what you studied to see how much study times it may involve.
