Hi,

I am taking my BEC exam in another 3 weeks. I was wondering if someone could advise me in preparing Information Technology. I am using Roger's and Wiley's material. Do i need to go through the entire Wiley material for preparing BEC or only the important topics.

Hey Sowmiya,

The IT section is pretty good tested in the new exam
also. It is not as bad as it was in 2010 and back but you
do need to be good at it. If you use the Becker and Wiley
and u understand the concept you should be fine. When I
took it, IT part of the the exam, they can ask just about
anything. Unless you are an IT professional, some
questions they ask, you be like what language is this.

According to the AICPA CSO/SSO, IT consists of 15%-19% of the exam. I take the exam next month, and I plan to be familiar with as much of it as possible. I also use Wiley.

Hi Friends,

Thank you so much for the information. I was going through some information regarding Information Technology, people were mentioning about focusing on effects of IT in Internal control.Its a lengthy chapter with lot of details and definitions. My exam is on Aug 19th.
