I just went through the spring newsletter. It says that new material on IFRS will be included in FAR. When is this supposed to be effective.? What about the other CSO/SSO's? What impact does it have on the exams?

I am taking FAR in May.

I contacted Beckers' Academic Support. See the following reply:-

Divya,
We have recently been in contact with the AICPA. They do not anticipate that the profession will move to IFRS until 2015. At that point they would test the guidance.

So, no need to worry for now... Good Luck!

i am using 2008 edition is there any thing new coming in exam??? axcept the updates .. i will be giving exam in may

pls let me know if u know anything new .. that will be helpful for me

per my knowledge, for 2008 edition, any thing new would be tested from July 2009 window.

Divya-Thanks for the info.!

Jrupa-I agree with Divya. There is just one CD which has 2 versions, one for pre july and one for after july. So I think u should be fine if u follow the updates. Try contacting Becker as well.
