Can you describe your method and routine? If there is a
thread already dedicated to this, can you direct me to the
thread?

Thanks.

Yikes FAR!! What I did was grab the latest Wiley books. Then I went through them 3 times, answering every single question each trip through. Then I went through again and tackled the questions that gave me the most trouble. I also developed mnemonics for those questions that required more memorization. Yeah, it sound rigorous but it paid off.

Let add one other thing. Focus more on the questions than reading the material. If I had to put a % on the division I would say 75% on the questions and 25% on the material. The reason being is that the questions cover more ground than the material and are more relevant to passing. Further if you are having problems with a topic you can go back over the material or supplement it with use of the internet. One thing I did that was perhaps unique is I never made note cards. Instead I set up a spreadsheet where I put my answers and then had a column for the reason it was correct or incorrect should I have guessed or missed the question. Then I could just review the spreadsheets and if I found that lacking review the material and rewrite the reasoning behind the topic.

Aesop, how long did you study before sitting?  I'm trying to get in 10 weeks at about 18-22 hours.

Everyone is different Raider. I do think you are the right track. It took me 2.5 months for FAR. I actually kept records of the dates I covered each module. But that was going through it 3 times including a review.

Let me give you a thought. Like an Olympic athlete you want to peak right as you take the test. I tried to have one complete day away from the books just before the test to let everything gel.

Yeah, I know they say to study your notes as long as you can but for me that just lead to anxiety. I need my stare into space time. LOL Or I guess meditation period.

I disagree.  I say focus more on text (i used becker).  This is for FAR only, the other sections, i would say focus on the questions and keep doing it multiple times.  I didn't intend to do it like this, just that things outside my control led to my prepratory routine being cut short.  But it turned out that I survived the exam ok.

The questions i would say prepares you for degree of difficulty in the actual exam questions.  So you know what type of ways they can really mess you up by adding in extra components to throw you off.  I found there wasn't much of that in FAR, and my theory for this is to strike a balance between degree of difficulty vs the wide scope of material covered.

Like Aesop said, having that day before the exam to relax is really important.
