Hi

I scored 74 in FAR and today, I received my score report
      Your performace compared
      To Passing Candidate
Content Area Your Performance Passing Candidate Performance Weaker Comparable Stronger
Concepts 69 72         *
Presentation 74 72         *
Transaction and Events 62 72 *
Governmental 75 72         *
Not-for Profit 72 70         *

Overall Performance     Weaker Comparable Stronger
Multiple Choice                *
Simulations        *
Written Communications              *

Any advise, whether to go for re-scoring

Thanks

I don't think so.

They check and double check all scores before sending it to us.
Also, score report specifically says ( saw it on other posts) that you cannot figure out your grade from this report.

I know how I would feel if I get 74, but i think it's better to go over your weak points and try again than re-score.

and I'm not sure how you can get stronger on MCQ summary if you got comparable in details on all sections and weaker on one of the largest section.

Written is comparable

Simulation is weaker.

MCQ is stronger  but point is by how much is MCQ stronger to make up deficiency in Simulation. I believe if had stronger or comparable on that Events and transaction. you would have passed. that 62 is too low on one section. or got 80 to 90 in other sections to make up for it.

How this results compared to your actual exam experiance? in various sections.

Best thing you can do is learn from your mistakes. You should take it again while its fresh, not to mention the 2011 changes.

I guess events and transactions would encompass a lot of the accrual accounting questions? Paying attention to dates and recording them correctly.

At least you nailed the parts a lot of people seem to worry about (NFP and GOV).

This does deflate the idea that a strong multiple choice score will offset a weaker sim performance.

Good Luck!

Thanks guys

I was very upset after looking at my score report, yes def, I am going to work hard on Transaction/Events and simulations and other portion also.

If I would have got 67+ in Transaction/ Event, there would be a chances of getting 75, any way I have to work hard rather than going for re-scoring

thanks for all your advises
