Hi,
I recently started studying for FAR section of the exam
using Becker 2011 and I have realized that many of the
questions, mostly the ones that involve intensive
calculations, take me much longer than 5 minutes. I was
wondering if I will have 90 of these on the CPA exam or
there are only a few of these questions on the exam. For
anybody who has experience with the actual exam, how
would you describe the weight of conceptual questions vs.
the calculation intensive questions?
Also, is it worth a try to go over the supplementary
questions or should I just work on the homework problems?

I can't answer your first question, but I will say from experience, it is very well worth it to take the time to go through the supplementary questions and all of the sims provided in the study material. There have been sims that I went over (I think it was for REG) where something VERY similar popped up in the exam. I was thanking my lucky stars because it was pretty confusing to me when I did it the first time during my studying. Some of the supplementary questions are also harder than those you typically encounter in the actual exam but they test your knowledge of the topic upside-down and backwards so that if the examiners do throw something crazy at you, it is easy to think through it logically. Just my .02.
