Hello guys, has anybody applied for the license from NY state. How many yrs work experience do they require and do we have to give ethics exam?Any body who has personal experience plz help.

New York requires the ethics exam and the experience needed is 2 years unless you have a masters in accounting, in which case it's one year.

I've been told by two different people at the NYS Board of Accountancy that an ethics exam is NOT required for licensure within New York. There is a mandatory ethics component for CPE after your licensure.
