Hi all

I'm planning to take my exam next year but doing some research on which state I shd join.  I first plan to join Colorado but my frd asked me to consider the states (like washington) which will give out a certificate on passing all the papers.    However, I can't find any info ab that.

Do anyone of you know which states will give out the cert once passing all da papers?  And is there any expiry date on dat cert?

Thx in advance

I think what you're referring to are what are known as 'two-tier' states - states that do not require work experience to issue a certificate (however, they often require the work experience to issue a license)

Some two-tier states are Alabama, Illinois, Montana, Florida and Nebraska, although you will need to check the individual residency requirements of those states to make sure that you qualify.

Colorado will generally waive the work experience requirement before issuing a certificate if you have 150 hours of education (bachelors + 30 additional hours or masters degree or higher)

I'm not sure how long the certificate is valid for, sorry.

I am now a California candidate. I passed the AUD paper already.

I was planning to work in a US CPA firm in LA, but it didnt happen at the end.

I am a foreigner and where I am working there is no AICPA could sign for me.

I was wondering, if I pass all 4 papers, could I transfer my credits to the Colorado State where there is no experience needed for a certificate?

Thanks!!!
