Just want to share with the procedures:
12/17/08 get the final score for REG
12/20/08 do the live scan
12/24/08 receive the letter of live scan rejection
12/25/08 pass the ethics exam
12/26/08 mail out the license application package
12/29/08 redo the live scan
01/07/09 receive the post card from state, acknowledgment of receiving
the application
1/12/09 check cashed
2/2/09 received letter said the result will be mailed in 4-6 weeks
2/5/09 received approved letter and white post card and green
information card. how come so fast!!!
2/7/09 mail out the $200 fee with post card.
2/28/09 receive white post card with license number
3/2/09 receive wall certificate--- how come so big!!!
3/4/09 receive pocket card

Here's my license application status (Pathway 2):
01/08 - sent application to CBA
01/09 - electronic fingerprinting done
01/20 - sent experience letter from firm to CBA
01/21 - check for application fee cleared through bank
01/28 - received confirmation application received
03/02 - haven't heard from the Board in over a month, completely ridiculous.
03/03 - talked to Board, said my test score was archived since I took it in May 2000, and waiting to retrieve test records. If not found by this Thursday, will send my copy.
03/09 - Board sent an email saying my application is approved and to expect the registration card within one week.
03/17 - Received confirmation letter from Board saying that my application was approved, and request for $200 fee for license.
03/18 - Sent license fee and information card to Board via certified mail (from San Carlos).
03/19 - Certified letter with $200 fee received at Board in Sacramento.
03/25 - Name shows up in license lookup database with license number, check still not cashed.
03/26 - Receive white post card with license number.
03/30 - Check for license fee cashed.
04/04 - Receive pocket certificate.
04/10 - Receive wall certificate
Done! - about 3 months start to finish!

Man, they are so slow, they haven't cashed my check yet, and my application has been sitting over there in Sacramento for 12 days! Boss signed my experience letter yesterday (1-yr public acctg, CA, no attest), so they should receive it today, 1/21, and application materials should be complete.
