I received the congratulatory letter from New Hampshire board for passing all 4 parts of the CPA exam. I have the following questions, answers to which I was not able to find in the NH Board of Accountancy website:

  1. Do I need to get the license within a particular period before the credits for my exams expire? If so, what is the time period?
  2. I could not find any information on the ‘Requirements for License’ other than the application which does not specify the requirements in terms of work experience or education credits needed in order to obtain the license. So I would what would the board consider acceptable work experience.
  3. Is the education requirement for sitting for the exam and getting the license the same? Or do I need additional education credits to get the license.
  4. Do I have to take the ethics exam?

Thanks in advance.

1- No
2- http://www.nh.gov/accountancy/faq/index.htm#tier
In order to obtain a certificate and license, as they are one in the same, you need:

To have passed the Uniform CPA exam in accordance with New Hampshire Laws.

You need to have two full years of public accounting experience with a bachelor’s degree or one full year with a masters degree in business administration, accounting, finance or taxation
3- The same
4- not sure

@ Caper

Thank you so much for your response.

Are you sure there is no expiration of the exam credits ??? Is that board specific or common to all boards ???

No expiration of exam credits in New Hampshire. Depends on the state, in most states exam credits don't expire.
