Just caught my attention to thread and would like bring attention to the forum members. ICFAI-tripura in india (website: www.icfai.org) offers CPA designation in India. They also offer CFA and CFAI in USA fought successfully to infringe the right to use this designation by ICFAI. Should AICPA do the same? Even though CPA designation is used other countries, but they statutory designation. ICFAI is a for-profit entity and, in my opinion, conducting deceptive act. Misleading people. What if someone earned CPA designation by ICFAI and market themselves as legit CPA. This is even alarming now because of outsourcing activities.

Any thoughts?
