Hi All,

Here's my dilemma, I have a master's degree in Accounting and have recently passed all four parts of the CPA exam in NYC. I've been at my current position (internal audit) for exactly 1 year now. However, my manager is not a CPA and my director is an inactive CPA. So under the circumstances, which state would allow me to get my CPA license? I have no intention to stay in audit any longer as I hate it so much. But I do want to be able to present myself as a CPA and practice(in tax) as a CPA in NY. Can this be done at all?  Or my only way to accomplish this is to go work for an active CPA?

Please help!!! Thanks so much in advance!
