Hi,
I am an Indian Chartered Accountant and recently passed
CPA from Colorado. I am currently working for a MNC in
India in Financial Services Industry and looking for a
job in USA. I need the following information.
1. Do i need to write the Ethics exam and be licensed if
I am planning for employment in USA?
2. How do I search for an employer who can sponsor H1B
for me? Is there any way to get the H1B thru consultants?

Ramucacpa, depending on the State, you can't call yourself a CPA until you pass the Ethics exam and get the license. Apparently, not all jobs require the CPA. So, technically, you don't need to get a license to have a job. As you probably know, the majority of States require you to maintain 40 CPEs annually and to pay license fees every 3 years (might vary by State) once you get the CPA license. You should consider such costs, too, when you make a decision to get licensed.
The job market right now is not that great, so I might be wrong but it doesn't seem that employers are willing to sponsor H1B since they can find a lot of locals with the CPA and who are willing to work for the lower (comparing to several years ago) wages.
Does your company have any subdivisions/subsidiaries in the US? It's always much easier to transfer through your current employer.

Lelik,
What is the status of a student who passed all the 4 papers
of CPA but yet to pass Ethics and obtained the license? how
do they reflect in resume for employment? "Passed
Finalist"? or "In the process of obtaining license"?
Just wondering..

amarguli, there is no actual status of someone who passed the CPA exam. You can indicate on your resume that you "passed the CPA exam, applied for the CPA license". I don't think that you need to mention the Ethics exam.
