I was wondering if anyone had this issue, and if there was any way around it, or in essence, to force him to sign off.

I currently passed my exams in PA, but need the one year experience sign off from a past employer from an area that we moved away from.  I have the time entry transcripts of all my time and it qualifies for the hours required to work.  As of now, he absolutely refuses to sign off on the experience or provide the information.

Is there a place that I can report him to make him sign off, since I did indeed do the work?  I cannot find anything on the state accountancy website or any of the affiliates.

Thanks!

Make copies of all the evidence you have, fax it to him and tell him if he does not comply (or give a valid reason), you will send it to your state board of accountancy.  I believe it is an ethical violation, and he could lose his license.

Interpol CPA - he's being uncooperative to all of us that use to work there.  He got turned into the department of labor by a prior employee for paying us hourly, but refusing to pay time and a half.  In PA, in order to receive your compensation, even if they investigate him you have to individually submit a claim.  So I'm not surprised he's being difficult.

secret_CPA99 - thank you, that was the way I was leaning, but wanted someone elses insight on it also.
