Currently I am doing audit work for a public accounting firm. I should be able to easily have over 500 attest hours at then end of a year. I already have around 300 after 4 months. Some other staff at the firm have told me that the partners basically want you to be able to run an audit from start to finish by yourself before they will sign off on my attest hours. I don't know how hard it will be to get hours planning and preparing Financial statments. Will I still get approved for the attest part if I have over 500 attest hours after one year? I have already passed the CPA exam.
