Man I'm so pissed off at my former
employer. I reached out to him before I
passed everything and he said he would
sign off on my work experience in ...so
I waited till after tax season to approach
him about the papers. Now it seems like
he doesn't want to do it anymore. I'm
just asking him to be honest about my
work experience. Jeez...what is wrong
with
him? This whole exp claiming system is
screwed up. It should be changed to, the
applicant put in what they are claiming
to the state board, and then the state
board goes after the employer to verify
and give them a 30 day deadline...

I really don't get why he wouldn't want
to do it for me. We left on good terms,
maintained a friendship after...any one
have a similar exp? Is there anything I
can do to force it?

Oh yea.  I resigned, and the partner threw me out of his office.  Would not sign off on the form either.  So I sent him a registered letter with the form asking for signature.  Then 30 days later sent him a letter stating I would mail a letter to the board with all my paycheck stubs and tax return logs, and proove that I did the hours.  If I did that, his license would be in jeaperdy.

Call your board.  Tell them the storey and ask what you have to do to prove you did the hours, and what will happen to him for not signing the form.  Then send him a threatening letter.  If he doesn't budge, take him to the board.

This crap happens all the time.  I agree this system sucks.  I've heard so many stories about people getting screwed out of signatures.

I got told it was up to the CPA they had a choice on signing my experience letter.   I have my employement letter, last paystub and my resignation letter.

I called the old employer and she said she would.   I really did dread making the call.

I think that there needs to be a rule that makes it mandatory that they sign off on it.

If you think you got talent in your pocket then just quit
the job and search for the new !.... trust me buddy if you
got talent then there is no need for you to run after the
jobs, am pretty sure they will be running after you.. ;)
