First of all, I beg to differ that this is more difficult than the actual CPA EXAM. I think that it just seems like it coz we've been studying way too much already...

Here's my pointers:

(1) Start by reading the questions and using the PDF file to go to the specific sections of what the topic is about. No need to read the whole darn thing first. You'll end up forgetting the situations, etc.

(2) Know which sections you are reading, e.g: Government and CA. Some of these overlap.

(3) When answering the questions, note the chapter/pages you used to get your answer for each question. When you get the questions wrong, it'll be easier to see which #'s you need to get back to.

(4) As others have said, when you get your result, you will get a specific section if you incorrectly answered maybe one or two of those sections incorrectly. And I also think that the hints you get are in order of the questions you got wrong.

Goodluck! Passed after three tries: 80, 84, 92.

So does this mean:

  • Forget about reading the material (except section on independence) - just use search function
  • However do read through independence section
  • There is no time limit to complete test - but doesn't the online system log you out after x amount of time?

I printed the test so I can go over it on my own time without being on-line. I read the question and used the search function to help me figure out which sections I should be reading...be careful when answering the questions...some topics are in multiple sections...you will know what i'm talking about as you start answering these questions. Goodluck ;)
