Hey all,
Next month I am going to be finding myself transitioning
between jobs and I'll have a good amount of downtime. I
figure this downtime would be a great opportunity to
knock out a quick exam I've always wanted to get (CFE)
before I start diving head-first into the CPA this
summer.
The problem is, I don't have the money to drop of the
ACFE software prep... between registration, exam fees,
and software you're looking at over $1,000.
I found the handbook and manual on Amazon for under $300
and it's my understanding that these are the primary
materials needed for the exam.
Can anyone comment on the potential of passing the CFE
exam using only the handbook and manual and MC practice
questions... essentially skipping the review software?
I understand it's a lot of material but I'll have about a
month of downtime and be able to study 20+ hours a week
so I was hoping it would be quite doable.
Thanks in advance for any input!
