im in india currently trying to figure out my how to go about the whole cpa thingy.. confusin but because of so many knowledgable ppl here i found out a lot thank u but i wud reli appreciae if someone cud help me out n tlk to me one on one n answer my questions n queries on hw to gt started wid my cpa... i ve done a b com degree from india n i knw i need to gt opn wid a taxation course if i m aplyin from delware but can some one who has done it already n been in my situation pls guide me.. wud b a gr8 help to me... im reli lookin for some one to guide me around getin started.. i wanna study for atleast bout a yr n den write my exams in us.... before dt i wanna gt done wid my taxatiuon course n facs thingy cleared... pls help

Hi there I am appearing for my US CPA exams in January 2010 .I am also a BCom passout and would like to tell you of some foremost requirements .First of all in your graduation years you should have taken Costing ,Auditing and Taxation to be even eligible for the exam ,if you have not then better go for Mcom .You will need to have taken these subjects in your 2nd year and 3rd year of graduation ,which most universities in India do have but still do check on your marksheet .Later you will have to go for your evaluation process which should cost you about Rs 5000-6000,or may be even simultaneously go for your online taxation course .Its only after you complete this course that you are considered for appearing .For any more help I will sugest you go to the Beckers Review ,just tell me your city and I will forward you their details .
