Hi to all.

I am new to this forum and want to know about the step by step procedure to register for CPA exams.

I am an ACCA member and live in California.

My main concern is about the credential evaluation.

Any help from anyone who has recently gone through the process in California will be much appreciated.

You can forego credential evaluation by registering with the State of Colorado or Georgia.

I have registered with the State of Colorado and all I did was to submit a copy of my ACCA membership certificate along with the application form and applicable fees. It is just that simple for ACCA members with these States.

Given that you are living in California you can still register with either of the above and when you complete the CPA exam you can register with california re reciprocity.

Chances are, if you registered with California and they deem your education to be below the minimum entry requirement, they might require you to do courses in order to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam.

My best bet is to go for the States mentioned; however, the choice is yours after exploring all options.

can you please clarify what does this means;

"when you complete the CPA exam you can register with california re reciprocity"

How would i practice in California state if i pass my exams in Colarado?

Also did you took Beckers for all your courses?

I am planning to do Business paper on my own from the book? IS it worth giving a try in your opinion considering that i have gone thru the ACCA papers in 2004?
