I am in PA, a state that uses the 6 month window for each NTS. When you do your initial application, say you sign up for just 1 section. If you pass that 1 section and feel that you could take the next section (obtaining a new NTS) before the six months is up, can you? or do you have to wait until the six months is up and then schedule? Basically, can you have 2 different NTS's at the same time? Very confusing because they do not give details on the official PA website.

Call your state officials to be sure, but each NTS gives a deadline for taking whatever exam section(s) you applied for that particular time.

Shouldn't be a problem having an NTS for one section that expires at the end of August, and another NTS for a different section that expires at the end of November.

However, only the initial NTS takes 4 to 8 weeks. Once you have the initial go-ahead, subsequent NTS applications take only about one week.
