In Accounting the credential is the CPA, whether you are qualified to take it with dual BS's or BS and MAcc. MBA is optional if your staying in an accounting type role but obviously it doesn't hurt to get. If your coming from undergrad straight in graduate school then an MBA isn't a good choice as the pedigree schools for MBA's require 6+ years of work experience just to qualify and it makes sense (look at previous posts on MBA's) as your managerial experience and background greaterly contribute to the overall MBA experience and not just acedemic straight into an MBA.
Summary:
If you want to stay working in an accounting type role (controller, CFO, senior accountant, financial reporting) then the CPA qualifies you for an interview.
If you are looking into a senior management role (VP operations, VP accounting, CAO, and CFO) then the CPA qualifies but also the MBA is required by some larger companies. I know I listed CFO twice but I know tons of CFO's with no MBA backgrounds.
