Hi Everyone,

New user here.

I'm looking to find out if anyone has any recommendations for online accredited accounting classes, other than LSU.  (I've completed everything they have to offer). I've got 7 more credit hours to go, and I'm looking for something cheap.  A 4 and 3 credit hour class would be ideal.

  Any suggestions? Thanks.

If you've had all LSU offers, about the only other undergrad courses I can think of are ACCT Info Sys, Theory, and Advanced Tax.  I don't think you're going to find theory online, and the other 2 will be difficult.

I would check Tennessee Tech, Southern Illinois Univ, Auburn Univ, UConn, Morehead State (Kentucky), and Mississippi State.  Tn Tech & Auburn offer undergrad classes in some sort of distance format as prereqs for their MBA (ACCT Concentration) and MAcc, respectively.  Also, each of those schools, of course, offer several graduate ACCT courses.  Morehead St. is the only other one I know of that may offer undergrad ACCT online.  I know the others have some graduate ACCT courses (in masters ACCT or MBA ACCT Concentrations).

Thanks for the universities. I checked out Tennessee and those accounting courses don't look like they would be accepted by the Board of Accountancy. They don't even have course numbers on them so I don't know whether they are considered upper division courses or not. What do you think?

HillBilly,

Thank you for taking the time to shoot me that list.  I'll be

investigating these through the weekend.
