Hello,
I am a transferee from community college (DeAnza)
currently attending four year state college (SJSU). I wanted to know if accounting classes I took
in community college counts for the 24 accounting credit requirement
for CPA in CA.
Thank you,

That's a good question. I'm a few credits shy of the 24 credit hour requirement in PA and am considering picking them up at the local community college.

I'm not sure about other states, but the community college accounting classes will count in California as long as the community college is recognized by a U.S. regional institutional accrediting agency or a national accrediting agency (www.wascweb.org for West region). I'm in CA and my college only offered 3 accounting courses so after graduating, I took additional ones at a community college, which helped me meet the accounting credit requirement.

Community college courses should count as long as they are from an accredited institution. I know of several people who graduated with a Bachelors, didn't go on to get their master's right away, but just took random classes for a semester at a community college to get their 150.
