Im a Chartered Accountant from India with Bcom degree as well.

I stay in California now.

Can i prepare and take the Colorado CPA exam and then get a license for California state to work here?

I heard that coloroda recognizes Indian CA directly and there is no need to go for educational evaluation.

If thats not the case, please recommend some cheap and reliable evalauation firms who will do it for California board?

Saw no one had responded yet -- you should be able to find your answer here on California's Board of Accountancy (I'd give them a call and work this out before doing anything else): http://www.dca.ca.gov/cba/licensees.shtml
