I'm situated here in Los Angeles area...
I finally became eligible to take the exam after finishing up some courses in community college. I've been working in a non-CPA related job for the past 3 years just to earn a living, while unsuccessfully attempting to find a new job in a CPA firm or a firm that has a CPA that can sign me off.
Question...
I'm worried that after I pass the exam, I will still be unable to find a job and therefore waste my precious time studying for the exam. Can someone reassure me that finding a job at a CPA firm becomes significantly easier after passing the exam? Any tips on finding such type of jobs?
Thanks

I do not think passing the exam has anything to do with finding a job at a
CPA firm. I mean it does not make it easy or easier.

Should one pass the exam and look for a job or find a job then pass the
exam?

good question. i'd be interested to know. my gut is that it's more ideal to find a job first then pass the exam.

I am in the same boat but I am in Oregon. Let me know if you found a way.
