Sup yall, haven't been on here in a while. Workin for a Big 4 they keep me busy.

My friend from grad school is trying to pass all four CPA exams. She has passed BEC, FAR, and REG but has not passed AUD. Her BEC credit expires 1/11/2010, so she's taking AUD 1/6/2010.

Let's all assume she passes AUD on 1/6/2010, but her scores are not released until March.

In this scenario, will she become a CPA?

Does the 18-month rule apply to the date you take the exam (take all four in an 18-month window but possibly not find out you passed the last one until after 18 months), or the date when scores are released (receive passing scores in all sections within an 18-month window)?

If she passes, she is done. The 18 month rule applies to the date you take the exam.

Good to hear from you Redrooster.

Agree with LkbCPA2b. If she takes AUD on 1/6/2010 and gets pass result in February, she is done.

Just another question....

In the same scenario, what if she fails in the AUD on 1/6/2010. Will she still be given credit for BEC, FAR, and REG knowing that her 18 month window ends up on 1/10/2010.

No, if she fails AUD she would lose credit for BEC.
