I was planning to sit for the FAR section of the CPA exam. I am currently employed by a private company as a cost accountant in the mfg industry. In the CPA application, do i need to list the company and supervisor for employment section? or can i leave it blank? I really didnt want the boards to contact my employer. If i passed the section, then i would tell my boss about it myself. If i fail, then it would be embarrasing to me.

I don't remember anything like that on my application. And i doubt they would contact your employer to let them know if you passed or failed. I have never heard of that.

I think it's for informational purposes only. As far as I know the Board does not contact your employer at all.
