Question: What's the first & second wave? How does it impact the exam & results?

Answer: When you take the exam, you receive your scores in either the first or second wave of score releases. This is fairly random and usually doesn't mean anything in terms of how you did on the exam. Most 2nd wave scores are released before the beginning of the subsequent testing window as they want you to be able to retake a failed section as soon as possible.

Question: What if I have a conflict and need to reschedule my exam appointment?

Answer: You may reschedule your appointment at no charge as long as you reschedule at least 30 days in advance. If you reschedule between 5 and 30 days before your appointment, you must pay a nominal fee directly to Prometric, currently estimated at $35. If you reschedule within 5 days of your appointment, you will have to pay the full Prometric fee for the section you are rescheduling. If your appointment is within 24 hours, you can NOT reschedule your appointment date, you will have to contact the Board/agency to which you applied originally to register again.
