I have done my BCom from Mumbai University, India and have also completed my Inter ICWA. Due to an unforseen event I lost all my original certificates. I was able to recover all my certificates/marksheets except for InterICWA. I have a photocopy of my Inter ICWA Group II marksheet with the scores. I dont have any proof of my Inter ICWA Group I.
I am debating as to which evaluation agency should I choose;FACS, or ECE or WES.
Any insight would  be helpful.

Generally your state board site should tell you which evaluation agency they choose. If not, you can go for any. For example, in NJ, they require to have evaluation done by ECE only.

Thank you for your response. I wanted to know if Inter ICWA credits will be recognized. I also have associates degree from US. I would like to apply to GA board but I am not sure if I will qualify or not based on the number of credits that my India education will give me. I have heard that Colorado state would be a good choice.
Any thoughts on that?
Thanks.

Hello,

I'm from Hong Kong and I took the Delaware exam (but sat for it in Guam) and it worked very well for me.

If you have an Associate degree, you really should check out Delaware because Delaware state board allows candidates with Associate degree to sit for the exam as long as you have 21 semester units of accounting classes (lowest requirement in all states).

Once you pass the CPA exam, all you need to do is to take the Ethics exam and you can get the certificate.

If you want to get a practicing license, associate degree holders will need 4 years of accounting experience, but it could be either public or non-public accounting.

Obviously, if you go for the CPA qualification for credentials only (like me), a certificate is good enough.

Please feel free to post any questions that you may have. Good luck, you can do it!

Stephanie

I agree with everything you said except the certificate part.

Delaware no longer issues certificates.

http://www.beacpa.org/how/index.php

"After January 2006, Delaware requires that anyone who applies to sit for the CPA exam after January 2006 must complete all requirements for both a certificate and permit to practice. You can no longer obtain a certificate only. Therefore, once you have graduated with either an associates degree, bachelors degree or masters degree, you apply to sit for the CPA exam. Once you have passed the CPA exam and the AICPA ethics exam, you must complete your experience requirement before you can apply for your certificate and permit to practice."
