Hello I'm contemplating to attempt a PHD in Accounting.
After doing some research online I think my maths skills
are lacking and I was wondering if a Masters in say
Statistics would help my profile when applying.
Has anyone done an PHD in accounting or have any insight as
to the job market for Accounting PHDs?

Talk a lot to PHD students in my school. apparently there is a LOT of demand for accounting PHDs. The program at my school will actually pay you 20,000 to teach while going to school . I think they also waive then tuition...something to definitely look into.
