Few questions:
1. To be able to take the CPA exams in UAE in 2011, do I
have to be a resident or someone on a visit visa can also
do that?
2. Has there been a word that someone might have received
on approximately what time of the year would the exams be
conducted in the Middle East and when will we be able to
register for the exams?
3. Are all states available for international students
who wish to take exams in the Middle East?
Thank you!

The answers to the best of my knowledge are as follows:
1) you need to be a citizen or resident to be eligible
2) the AICPA has stated that exams will be available in the middle or end of
2011, my guess is that it will not be until the end.
3) Not all states work for international candidates as many have residency or
citizenship requirements. Of those that do not have restrictions, there has
been no definite answers as to which will accept candidates writing in the
international locations. Eligibility to sit for the exam is based on post-
secondary education.

Thank you for reply!
I e-mailed you as well, with the other more-specific
questions. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks again!

You will hear from me shortly, lots of incoming messages today that I am
trying to get caught up on. Hope that you are not in part of the Middle East
where problems are happening. I have a step-son who has lived in Cairo for
15 years, he works as a reporter there so I am really worried as it looks as
though things have taken a very nasty turn there today. Thanks, L.A.
