I'm new to this forum, and have already got a lot of useful information.
Thanks very much to all who like sharing and helping.
I'm an MBA graduate with a concentration in Accounting. I'm going to take
the CPA exam in Washington State. I have over 150 semester hour credits
of college education with a baccalaureate and a graduate degree. I also
have over 24 semester hours credits in business. My question is about my
accounting credits.
I have taken 24 graduate level quarter hour credits (16 semester) in
graduate school. According to Washington state's INFORMATION FOR
FIRST-TIME CANDIDATES FOR THE UNIFORM CPA EXAMINATION,
"individuals will be given 1.5 credits for each 1.0 graduate level credit
of accounting courses taken."
Does it mean that my accounting credits could be 16*1.5=24 semester
hour credits? Do I need to take extra accounting classes to meet this
requirement?
Anybody who are or have taken the exams in Washington, please help
answer my question... I have emailed to capes-wa@nasba.org last week,
but haven't got reply from them yet...
