Hi,

i am planning to prepare the CPA  exams for all 4 sections in 3 and half months, is it possible? Do not know how many books i have to read. i am new to CPA. if it is not possible to prepare the exam in such a short time, i probably have to give up because i have to pay for myself.

thanks for your information.

It is possible if you are not working very much, are extremely disciplined and do not have big family/significant other commitments. If you are willing to spend 10+ hours a day studying and are good at retaining a ton of information at once, then it is a possibility. Most people cannot do it.

I know one person who passed it in four months, but he didn't work and he just graduated from a prestigious program so the professors made sure they understood the material. I heard he used Yaeger.

thanks for the input from both of you. I understand most of the material. However, i can only squeeze out 5 hours a day at most on the exam. So, i probably have to give it up. I hope Illinois could extend its "one-tier" system so that I can have enough time to prepare for the exam and get a CPA certificate (i do not need the license).
