I'm just wondering how much weight firms put on grades in the intermediate series? I got a C+ (yeah, my school is on the +/- scale) in intermediate I last semester and a solid B in tax. I do have a perfect explanation for my grades going down the toilet (I completely bombed my last two exams in intermediate I). First, I had surgery on my arm and was in a splint for a couple weeks. Second, my dad died 5 days after I had surgery. My cumulative GPA is 3.165 and I just started a second bachelor's, so last semester was technically my first semester.
I'm just curious as to whether I should retake the course (my school will take the best grade and wipe out the worst) in the fall, or just bite the bullet and eat my grade given that I have a pretty good explanation as to why my grades (overall) flopped. Right now I'm in intermediate II and I've heard that the professor is a tyrant (literally the entire class fails exams, she does retakes so she doesn't get fired, blah blah).
